  • Step back in time with a guided historic tour! Discover the hidden history of Fort Ann, NY with a guided tour of the Mount Hope Blast Iron Furnace and the long-lost village of Mount Hope—located on private land rarely open to the public.

    Tours are open to the public (except as noted) on the following dates:

    • Saturday, August 30 at 10:00 AM

    • Saturday, September 6 at 10:00 AM (for Women’s Wellness Retreat only)

    • Sunday, September 21 at 10:00 AM

    • Saturday, October 11 at 10:00 AM

    The furnace trail takes about 60-90 minutes to complete. Participants should be capable of walking 2.5 miles on a wilderness trail with an overall elevation change of 228 ft. The ground is uneven and it is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. The trail can be wet and buggy so dress accordingly. Bring bug spray, water, and a snack or lunch.

Choose from many available dates like LABOR DAY WEEKEND (includes a BBQ), Aug 29-Sep 1 or during the ADIRONDACK BALLOON FESTIVAL, Sep 18-21. Come enjoy a peaceful day, weekend or stay for a week at camp! You can rent individual accommodations or, for families and groups, reserve an entire unit.
